TEN: The Enthusiast Network has partnered with Honda to develop an all-new original series—“Modified” Presented by Honda, bringing to life the highly competitive tuner market. TEN worked hand-in-hand with Honda to develop “Modified” to help it reach its Super Street Network audience of more than 20 million millennial automotive enthusiasts.
Debuting August 9 on Motor Trend OnDemand and Motor Trend OnDemand’s Amazon channel, the seven-episode series will be hosted by pro drivers Matt Powers and Geoff Stoneback, who will travel to tuner hotbeds to discover how tuning perfection differs in each city.
TEN and Honda have an ongoing partnership, and this is their biggest video content series to date. This program comes on the heels of the highly successful 2016 Honda Dream Track, which helped Honda engage millions of social viewers with a crowdsourced stunt track for an off-the-lot Civic.
The “Modified” series will consist of seven episodes. From the rallycross of the Pacific Northwest forests to the urban heart and soul of the Atlanta drift scene, the “Modified” hosts will canvas each tuner market with a challenge — to find the hottest modified car in each city. Each episode will feature a custom build segment, transforming a stock 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback into a custom build that any Honda enthusiast would be proud to drive.
Matt Powers and Geoff Stoneback will each take a different path on his quest for the hottest modified car, whether hanging out in the pits at a local motorsports event, touring the garages of legendary tuners and builders in the scene, or hanging out with some of the most influential and trend-setting car clubs. Each host will drive away from his adventure with his selection and meet up to compare rides in a lighthearted face off. The hosts will close each episode by asking Super Street followers to cast their votes and share their favorite car on social media.
“Modified” Presented by Honda will culminate in the World’s Greatest Honda Drag Race. Eight of the hottest, fastest and most outrageous modified Civics in the country will participate in a one-of-a-kind drag race. In an epic straight-line winner-take-all 1/4-mile race, the first driver across the finish line will get the keys to the “Modified” Project Civic!
