CIRCLE TRACK, the largest motorsports media brand focused on short track racing technology, will kick off the inaugural season of the Great American Racing Series on May 9 with the Salem 100 at the historic Salem Speedway in Salem, IN.
CIRCLE TRACK’s groundbreaking event series brings together classicoval track race cars and late-model muscle to race on both paved and dirt tracks in a historic quest to win the richest short track championship in the nation. Designed as an affordable form of stock car racing, the series features individual race purses of $30,000, with $5,000 going to the winner, making it both the richest street stock series in the country and the best destination to see future racing stars.
Spectator tickets are on sale at salemspeedway.com prior to the event and at the Salem Speedway box office on the day of the show:
“We are excited to kick off the Great American Racing Series with the Salem 100,” said CIRCLE TRACK General Manager Rob Fisher. “We can’t think of a better way to open the Great American Racing Series than at the historic Salem Speedway.”
The 2015 schedule will consist of six events—two on dirt and four on asphalt— beginning May 9 at the Salem Speedway in Salem, IN.
Each race will consist of three distinct segments, creating natural breaks in the action to allow for a more complete experience for the fans. The format includes solo qualifying runs, followed by qualifying races, and finally a main event.
